Living in The Moment - 2.11.11
2.11.11: So its Friday, 2.11.11, 8:19 am and I’m sitting in my apartment in some hoop shorts and a v-neck blogging, packing, and talking to the woman of my life, my mom. Her excitement about how much of a big deal this opportunity is (Rick Ross Concert), is extremely overwhelming, but it has not sunk in for me yet. Maybe when I’m actually on the road, or walking into the arena, or finally hitting the stage will it really become tangible for me. Its been a heck of a ride in this year and some change for DJBANDCAMP, but I thank God for every blessing he has bestowed upon me. My support team at home, my inner circle of best friends, the iNNercaMP, and everyone showing love, I can’t thank you enough. #campINvasion baby!

YOUNGSTOWN will be a MOVIE tonight! The BMF tour lands in my hometown with Rick Ross and Gorilla Zoe tonight at the Covelli Center! Catch me on the 1s and 2s as we turn the city upside down for this heavily aniticipated event. There are still tickets available through TicketMaster.com and at The Covelli Center Box Office if you have yet to cop! Cincinnati Dance Marathon - 2.26.11

On February 26, 2011, the Annual Cincinnati Dance Marathon will be taking place on the campus of the University of Cincinnati starting at 12 pm and ending at 12 pm, the following day. When asked if I could come and I spin a guest set at the event, I said “YES!” 30 times in my head before the word even came out! Weekend Recap: 2/3 - 2/6
<— S/O to the homie Machine.Gun.Kelly #LaceUPSo this past weekend was definitely invaded The CAMP!
2.3: MadFrog was unlaced, then re-laced as the Big Homie Machine Gun Kelly came and showed out for the city of Cleveland! He had a helluva show and his energy is contagious! He’s one of those artist that even if you’ve never heard of him, you have no choice but to RAGE to his set.
Also, unveiled to the world was the first official set of Puck x DJBANDCAMP! The official announcement came as we were the final opening act for Machine Gun Kelly, and Puck killed it as usual rockiN the Cool Greys and all! I’m excited to get our show off the ground! **be on the look-out folks!!**
Big S/O to C-Zoo who also perfomed at the concert, unleashing tracks from their new Mixtape, hosted by DJBANDCAMP, called the “REMIXTAPE!” Make sure to download that project asap!
2.4: Its always a wonderful experience when I am able to DJ for the kids! This past Friday I DJ’d for the “Rep Yo Year” Dance at VLT Academy in which the High School students had to come to the party wearing their graduating year. They always enjoy when “Mr. Barron” retires Chemistry and gets behind the 1s and 2s as DJBANDCAMP. S/O to them for their considerable progress!
2.5: What a day!! Double duty is NO joke, but I’ll make this post short and to the point. First objective was to get fitted for the night! S/O to the stylist who always keeps me FRESH, Mr. Dorian Kimbley!
Objective two was to be on time to DJ the 12th Annual Kuamka Celebration at the University of Cincinnati. Though I was not on time like I wanted to be, the Ball was a marvelous event! S/O to everyone who aided in the process and, of course, Mr. and Mrs. Kuamka, Sophia Calloway and Keennn Maull.
Last objective, The All Black Affair at Beluga! Even though a little tardy to the party, due to Kuamka running over, Beluga was, as it always is, a MOVIE!! The C0ol People struck yet again, putting on an EPIC event that brought the Fire Marshall out for the second time in a row! #campINvasion
2.6: My high came down as my Steelers lost the Super-Bowl. #noexcuses

The All Black Affair - 2.5.11
The HIGHLY anticipated, “All Black Affair”, goes down tomorrow night, Feb. 5th, at the beautiful Beluga Lounge on 3520 Edwards Rd in Cincinnati, OH. Following the annual Kuamka Celebration, held at the University of Cincinnati, you will see some of the area’s finest dressed in their best making an appearance at this event! Of course there will be 1/2 off sushi after 11 pm, and yours truly, DJBANDCAMP, will be on the 1s and 2s to cater your evening! See you tomorrow night Cincinnati! #campINvasion

All Of The Lights! - 1/30
The culmination of “My Weekend” ended with OTR’s 1 Year Anniversary Celebration Sunday Night, 1/30, at FBs in Cincinnati, OH. A clothing boutique owned by a young, black entrepreneur, James Marable, has made tremendous strides in just their first year in business. A jampacked ticket included Vashtie, DJ Steph Floss, myself, and CJ Townsend! One word to describe this event: EPIC!

My Weekend: 1/27 - 1/29
This past weekend was indeed, another CAMP INVASION! Starting Thursday, 1/27, at Mixx Ultra Lounge, Ed Love and his team brought the college crowd out for College Night at Mixx.
Friday, 1/28, Zeta Phi Beta - Beta Eta Chapter, hosted the NPHC Stroll Competition at the University of Cincinnati in which they asked me to be one of the “celebrity” greek judges. Supporting a wonderful cause, March of Dimes, the event was able to raise a gracious amount of money to support our babies. The Official After-Party, powered by The C0ol People, at MadFrog was insane!
Saturday, 1/29, The CAMP and I took our talents to my hometown Youngstown, OH, where we rocked out with The Dream Team and M.P.O.D. at Downtown 36! To keep it short, it was a MOVIE in there! Special shoutouts to Terrell Washington, Desmond Morrow, Joe (the owner), Eanes, Derian, StarLyfe, PGC, and everyone who came out to support! I love you all.
